Car barn, oak framed garage or carriage house

Made from FSC certified pressure treated European softwood and oak,  with the ability to sit perfectly in rural surroundings, the carriage house is as at home next to a country cottage as a grade II listed farmhouse. The curb appeal, complete with Chart signature bracing is matched by flexibility for offices, garage space, storage or a gym under one barn style building.

Endless lifestyle options

Our well-constructed carriage house with quality wood framing are built to last decades - offering a barn for a classic car, easy covered parking for an EV or create a home office, workshop or children's games room.

If you are looking for an oak framed barn or garage - consider the Chester carriage house. The front uprights, supports and bracing are made from slow grown oak whilst the main structure is constructed from faster growing pressure treated timber. Embracing the oak look where it is seen but using FSC certified and pressure treated softwood elsewhere helps balance cost and environmental demands.

The Chart Garages team can offer help, advice and examples of previous builds, discuss how best to include a gym, where to place a log store or guide you on roofing options to cope with an extra-tall vehicle. On hand to create a carriage house or barn that works for you.

Each carriage house is built to order, so you can choose to create an enclosed garage by adding walls, insulation & flooring, windows and doors, a recessed mower store or home gym.
